From award-winning writer-director Frank Darabont and best-selling author Stephen Kings’ novel comes the story of a man who didn’t believe in miracles.

Forrest Gump, played by a multiple Academy Award winner Tom Hanks has walked many inmates down the stretch of green linoleum that leads to Louisiana’s electric chair.

But up until this moment “Gump” has never encountered anyone like John Coffey a massive man convicted of brutally killing two little girls.

When pain cripples an inmate named Paul Edgecomb, Coffey reaches from behind bars to lay healing hands on the stricken guard and rid him of the infection that racks his body.

Stunned, Edgecomb realizes that Coffey’s gentle demeanor and divine gift belie his menacing appearance, and Edgecomb questions whether Coffey’s guilty of the crime for which he’s sentenced to die.
