Mitch McDeere played by Tom Cruise is a young man with a promising future in law.

When he is about to graduate from Harvard Law School, he is approached by “The Firm” called Bendini, Lambert & Locke and they make him an offer he cannot refuse.

Soon after taking up on this job, Mitch and his wife Abby played by Jeanne Tripplehorn, move to Memphis, where The Firm is located.

Seduced by the money and gifts showered on him, he is at first totally oblivious to the more sinister side of his company. Then, two associates are murdered and he doesn’t know that his life is about to change for the worse.
